Sorry for the lack of updates. It's been a bit hectic. Bren has been sick, Ben has been growing, there's been tragedy in the area and I've been spending a lot of time talking to Monkey about protecting herself, and my bestest friend xbalegot married. I've also been dealing with school stuff - HCC only sent a third of my transcript because I "rushed" the girl in archive to get it out. Yeah, it took you three weeks, you really rushed. The College Board charged my card, so I'm hoping that means they sent my scores. As soon as all that gets there and entered into the system, I can get an appointment with an advisor. Which means mid November. How long have I been working on this? Mid August? It doesn't matter; I am NOT giving up, no matter how much extra crap I have to deal with.

o i know i can *do* it, just can i be not lazy/overly busy enough to sign up! jeje! the rest of the year i am focused on 3x a week at the soup kitchen, then in jan i am gonna prepare to start the ordeal for spring semester. i figure this gives me all summer to fight for my own transcripts in time for next fall!

um...how do you only send 1/3 of a transcript? so how are they fixing this??

Apparently, anything 10 years old and older goes into an archiving system and everything newer goes into the regular system. She printed up the old stuff, but not anything from 1999-2003. So they're going to send what they call an amended transcript that has everything. They wanted me to send in a new request, but I put my foot down and told them their mistake, they fix it without charging me again or making me jump through any more hoops.

I live in Jacksonville, not too far from where Somer Thompson was killed. She was a 7 year old girl walking home from school with her sister, brother, and some other kids. She ran ahead for a minute and they never saw her alive again. They found her body in a landfill 2 days later.

That's some scary shit, there. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had kids and I heard about something like that happening nearby.
