This just in:  I'm making corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight. Well, more like New England Boiled Dinner, because I'm adding in potatoes and carrots.

Yes, I know it's not St. Patty's day yet. I told Bren it was on sale at Publix and he requested I make it for dinner.

I bought a 3 lb corned beef. Betcha there aren't any leftovers. I'm only putting 1/4 of the head of cabbage in. The rest I'm using for my mom's coleslaw, since I'm the only one who likes it. I should have bought some hebrew national hot dogs and bush's best baked beans to eat with it, but I was in a hurry.

You'd be welcome, but you'd have to fight Bren and Katie for dinner. They eat enormously... I should have bought a bigger corned beef.

I LOVE it. We never had it growing up because my dad can't stand the smell of some things cooking - especially garlic, cloves, allspice, and the like. I made it for the first time maybe 3 or so years ago and it got gobbled down. :D
