Writer's Block: Little Women
Dec. 7th, 2008 04:22 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]I'm late on answering this one, but I'm going to have to go with Jo. Amy was spoiled and brattish until after Beth died. Jo is stubborn, impetuous, overdramatic, and has a really hard time dealing with "society." But she's loving, generous, kind, intelligent, and stays true to herself.
And I hated that stupid movie with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale. Jo would NEVER make out with a guy - at the opera or anywhere else. I know Hollywood lurves to "update" old books and movies, but that was ridiculous. Almost as bad as making Caspian and Susan fall in love with each other and say a long, lingering goodbye at the end. Blurgh!
