[Error: unknown template qotd]When I was a kid, we didn't have cable or go to the movies and I wasn't ever allowed to stay up past 7, except for one occasion - the yearly showing of the Wizard of Oz. I didn't see the Neverending Story, The Labyrinth, Star Wars, or the Princess Bride until I was in middle school, so they don't really count. (I got to stay up till 8 when I turned 11, and 9 when I turned 16. Yay, childhood!) And I was a teenager when all the new generation Disney movies (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King, etc) came out, so I can't use those, either.

It's still up there in my top 10.

That kind of stinks because some of those movies are just so magical as a young child. I love the Wizard of Oz! I represent the lollypop guild!

Very true. But we were poor and my stepdad's a grump. :)

I love the Wizard of Oz, but I gotta say, I love the books more.

i don't think i could pick just one, but it would be really close between the wizard of oz, annie, hello dolly, and seven brides for seven brothers. the common thread here is...lots of singing. my sisters and i would watch these four movies *all the time*. from crappy vhs taped-off-TV copies.

I'll hate Annie forever because of high school. I haven't yet seen Hello Dolly or Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. Or The Music Man, which is one of Bren's favorites.
